I love love LOVE the night before a new rotation. Do I dread having to get up at the buttcrack of dawn? Always. Will I ever feel I’ve prepped enough? Probably not. But damn do I love the anticipation of diving into a new unit headfirst. Seriously. It’s hard for me to sit still right now.

I’ll be working in the Stroke Center at Cedars for awhile. Neuro + cardio + telemtry + tons and tons of patient/family education and interaction. Kid in a candy store.

BTW, my parents surprised me tonight by bringing me homemade Filipino food. Not the heart-attack-on-a-platter kind. Had this been a few years ago they probably would have brought lechon or kaldereta. But Nope! Fish, shrimp, and lumpia tonight. We’re making some progress!

But damn, just thinking about lechon…kaldereta…*slobber*…*slap* iknowbetteriknowbetteriknowbetter…

Filipino American RN student. Oi the internal conflicts. :P

Can you explain to me why there was a small spider hanging from a web, attached to the piece of toast I was eating and had just taken out of the toaster. I am perplexed. brother
