Oh, sweet Jesus. If I hear another person say the US has the “best health care system in the world” I’m going to explode. We pay more than double what every other industrialized country pays for health care and our health outcomes aren’t any better. We pride ourselves on being the best country in the world yet we are perfectly ok with leaving our children, elders, and working class uninsured. Our system is so BROKEN, there IS NO SYSTEM. That’s why we desperately need reform. Buying insurance across state lines…curbing lawsuits against physicians…all band-aids, and really crummy ones. It’s time to grab insurance companies and Big Pharma by the nuts and get our act together!
